The Plea
Sean Alfred Juillerat

The winds came streaming down
The river lazily fell
The sound of heaven all together,
And ever is the hour
Whether the shadows may
Produce a phantom to the heart
In the darkness and idle shade,
And ever is the hour

The amorous Lovers have longed for thee
In each other’s arms they feint
A pair of Lovers all together,
And ever is the hour
In twilight the evening falls
The current floateth down,
Our youth is lost forever!
And ever is the hour

Sean Alfred Juillerat is twenty-four years old and currently lives in New Jersey where he is studying at Kean University to become a teacher. His passion remains in literature. He is amazed at the profound effect, whether to beauty or to distaste, that poetry is able to impart. It is his hope that what he writes may do the same for the reader.
